My brain is wondering today. I did a rough calculation of how many ambulances are in service during peak hours in my metro area.
Between 5 different services (3 private, 2 public) there are around 70 ambulances available during the peak hours. With an estimated population if 1.25 million, that’s one ambulance per 17,857 people. I am no longer surprised that we frequently have non emergent patients that wait long times for ambulances.
